RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. All films must be no more than 25 minutes in length. They can be of any genre or type. (ie Music Video, Animation, Claymation, Drama, Comedy)
    

2. Films MAY ONLY BE SUBMITTED IN NTSC DVD FORMAT.
    

3. The following are the submission deadlines. This means the films must be received IN OUR OFFICES no later than the dates below:

   • November 08, 2007 is the deadline for ALL submissions.

    

4. Winners will be decided by an Audience Choice Award:

   • The winner will be announced at the end, after ballots are counted.
      

5. All dates are subject to change due to scheduling conflicts any other unforeseen circumstance that may arise.
    

6. The number of finalists and their order will be at the discretion of the festival producers.
    

7. All persons submitting must own the copyright to the films.
    

8. By submitting a film to the 1st Annual South Bay Film Festival, the submitter agrees to grant South Bay Films the right to post said film on their website for up to 21 months in the Festival area. This is NOT to be construed as an exclusive agreement and the submitter retains all rights to sell or distribute said film in any medium including Internet distribution.
    

9. I also make the following declarations and agree to the following:

   • I am authorized to submit this film to festivals;

   • The film is not threatened by or currently in any litigation;

   • South Bay Film Festival is authorized to place completed film on their web site for voting and archival purposes for 3 years;

   • I have clearances for music used in this film for festival usage;

   • I hold South Bay Film harmless from any damages that might occur to the print during shipping or during the course of the Festival;

   • I understand that South Bay Films is not responsible for lost entries.
